Dish TV posts Q2 oss of Rs 56 cr

Direct-to-home service provider Dish TV today reported a net loss of Rs 56.13 crore for the second quarter ended September, narrowing down from its loss of Rs 154.11 crore of the year ago period. - NEWSALERT: Dish TV Q1 net loss at Rs 69.2 cr - New UP tax to hit DTH services - Rel BIG TV expands its channel bouquet At the end of September quarter of the current financial year, the total income of the company stood at Rs 257.49 crore whereas the same was at Rs 173.29 crore during last year, Dish TV said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). For the half-year ended September 30, 2009, the company posted a net loss of Rs 125.34 crore, while it had lost Rs 279.55 crore during the corresponding period last fiscal. Shares of Dish TV were trading at Rs 39.50, down 4.59 per cent in the afternoon trade on the BSE.
